This policy explains how Louis de Jager Professional Corporation ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, and protects personal information gathered through louisdejagercpa.com. It does not describe how we handle information we receive after you become an engaged client — that is governed separately by your engagement letter and by the confidentiality standards of CPA Ontario's Rules of Professional Conduct, which are more stringent than this website policy.

Information we collect

We collect personal information only when you choose to provide it, through:

The compliance self-assessment questionnaire — your organization type, approximate size, years registered as a charity, approximate annual gross income, and your questionnaire answers, plus your name, organization name, email address, and (optionally) phone number if you request a follow-up consultation.
Direct email or phone contact — whatever you include when you write or call us.

We do not use tracking cookies, analytics scripts, or advertising pixels on this site. The site does load font files from Google Fonts, which involves a request to Google's servers to display our typography; Google's handling of that request is governed by Google's own privacy policy. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, may retain standard server access logs (e.g., IP address, browser type, timestamp) for security and performance purposes, consistent with Cloudflare's privacy policy.

To understand your organization's needs before an initial consultation

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not use it for unrelated marketing without your consent.

How your information is transmitted and stored

When you submit the self-assessment form, your responses are transmitted through Web3Forms, a third-party form-processing service, and delivered directly to our email inbox. Web3Forms acts as a processor on our behalf and is subject to its own privacy policy. We do not maintain a separate marketing database of website submissions; information you send is retained in our email records for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your inquiry, and then in accordance with our general document retention practices.

Your rights under Canadian privacy law

As a Canadian business, we handle personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). You have the right to:

Ask what personal information we hold about you
Request that we correct inaccurate information
Withdraw consent to further contact at any time
Ask us to delete information you've submitted, where we are not otherwise required to retain it
